Expressive Movement

Our bodies are innately smart. They know what they need, we have just forgotten how to listen.

Drop out of the mind and into the body, re-membering your most instinctive and primal self. Each session focuses on the body and its sensations, using movement and expression to cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and trust within self and environment.

My intention is that you will get to know and understand your body in ways that will facilitate a deep-rooted sense of being and belonging.

I am a mover, lover of the arts, and enthusiast of human expression. My mission is to help others feel at home in their bodies, the Soma, by guiding them to sense, listen, move, and connect with their inner and outer worlds. I believe that in order to thrive, human beings need deep connection with self, other, and environment.

I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with over 20 years of dance experience, education, and training. I hold a degree in Dance Science from California State University, Long Beach and a background in Bartenieff Fundamentals, studying under The Movement Arc’s Expressive Movement Facilitation program.

I am passionate about the ways in which we move in this world and how movement can aid in our health and wellbeing, spiritually, mentally, and physically.

We live in a world of change and inhabit a body that is constantly shifting; If the essence of movement is change, then let’s train with movement and learn to move with life.
